Mapped sharepoint drives can become disconnected for a number of reasons, the main being a password change to your Office365 account. Luckily reconnecting it is a pretty simple process. Just follow these steps and you should be back online in no time!
- Open up internet explorer (you can access sharepoint from other browsers but when needing to reconnect a disconnected drive you must use IE)
- Go to portal.office.com
- Log in with your Office365 account – when this screen pops up make sure to select “Yes” to always stay signed in
- Click Sharepoint
- Go to whichever main site you are usually mapped too (Patra corp Team site, Benefits, etc)
- Open any folder in there to view documents (doesn’t matter which folder as long as you have access)
- Once you’ve opened a folder to the documents level go ahead and re-open your disconnected sharepoint shortcut, it should now be working.
